Our Story
It all started back in 2018, when Derick, Laetitia and Maria were diving the coast of Umkomaas and they were visited by a friendly and inquisitive Blacktip Shark!
It was at this moment Derick had the vision to start Blacktip in order to share his passion and experience it with as many people as possible! Since then, we have travelled far and wide, and we have built some amazing relationships with fellow divers as well as service providers.

Our mission is to:

Create and maintain a like-minded group of advanced (or soon-to-be advanced) divers for amazing dive trips;

Not to provide scuba training or gear sales, but rather to refer interested parties to our endorsed instructors, scuba schools, charters and preferred suppliers.
